Originally from Houston, Texas, Michael has spent 35 vibrant years honing his craft in New York City, sharing the stage with musical legends such as Patti LaBelle, Isaac Hayes, Wilson Pickett, Hank Crawford, and George Benson. His distinctive sound also shines within the Contemporary and Smooth Jazz scenes, collaborating with renowned artists like Alex Bugnon, Najee, Kirk Whalum, Gregory Porter, Freddie Fox, and Walter Beasley. Notably, Michael’s rendition of “Reason’s,” featuring Walter Beasley, has amassed over 8 million streams on Spotify.

 

Michael’s performances have illuminated iconic venues, including The Apollo Theater, The Blue Note, and The Village Vanguard.
